Polypropylene (PP) strapping is a lightweight and practical solution for everyday bundling, carton securing and general packaging. Easy to handle and suitable for lighter loads, it offers a simple way to keep products and packages securely bundled during handling and storage.
Our history began with a modest 1,500-square-meter factory site.
Our journey began as Poly Projects Sdn. Bhd.
The first PET strapping production line we installed had an annual production capacity of 1,200 tonnes.
As the business grew rapidly, we subsequently rented a new 500-square-meter warehouse to serve as a storage and distribution center. This enabled us to provide our customers with faster and higher-quality service.
As we continued to grow, we acquired a 4,600-square-meter site to expand our production capacity.
As our customer base expanded and our product range grew, we experienced rapid growth that exceeded the capacity of our Nilai factory. We began shipping our products throughout Malaysia, to other Southeast Asian countries, and across Africa.
To further expand our production capacity, we acquired a new 17,000-square-meter site in Semenyih.
The project was a large-scale development, featuring four times the site area of our Nilai factory and five times its total floor area.
In 2019, we changed our company name from Poly Projects Sdn Bhd to “PolyPaq Sdn Bhd.”
This rebranding reflects our strong commitment to becoming a leading “one-stop centre” for industrial packaging materials and related solutions.
Today, we offer more than 10 categories of industrial packaging products, with over 250 stock-keeping units (SKUs).
With the relocation to our new factory in Semenyih completed, a new phase of growth began.
We also began producing PP (polypropylene) strapping, while expanding our inventory storage capacity and product range, enabling us to deliver greater value to our customers.
Obtaining AAR (Association of American Railroads) certification and exhibiting at trade shows in the United States opened new opportunities, enabling us to begin supplying AAR-certified strapping to the North and South American markets.
Since 2009, we have grown from a single 100-ton production line to a 17,000 sqm facility in Semenyih with a monthly output exceeding 400 tonnes — supplying direct to distributors, manufacturers and exporters across the region.
